Improving behaviour and engagement is no longer optional — it’s inspection critical.

A Specialist Alternative Provision That Re-Engages Pupils, Reduces Behavioural Pressure & Supports Inspection Outcomes

Delivered from The Music Klub Enrichment Centre, South London | Funded Through Pupil Premium & EHCP

The Music Klub Enrichment Centre provides

a structured, off-site Alternative Provision for pupils at risk of exclusion. This is not enrichment. This is intervention.

A Structured Alternative When Behaviour Becomes Unsustainable

  • A safe, specialist off-site environment designed for pupils at risk of suspension or exclusion.

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS) combined with behaviour support and youth work expertise.

  • High-level music and production training that builds real, transferable skills.

  • A professional setting where pupils develop discipline, responsibility and ownership.

  • Clear assessment, personalised development pathways and structured progress tracking.

  • Designed to reduce classroom disruption and support Ofsted personal development priorities.

Why This Provision Changes Behaviour

Correction alone does not change behaviour.

Connection does.

At The Music Klub Enrichment Centre, pupils don’t simply “try music.”

They develop
real skill, identity and responsibility within a structured system.

Children learn beat production using industry-standard software, develop vocal performance and recording techniques, and gain instrumental experience across strings, percussion and composition.

Through structured songwriting and guided creative projects, pupils learn how to start, refine and complete work to a professional standard.

Students are introduced to safe digital distribution, understanding how to upload and share their work responsibly.

Alongside technical skills, pupils develop punctuality, preparation, collaboration and respect for shared equipment and space.

They take ownership of their output and learn to take pride in completion.

When young people experience genuine competence and structure, behaviour stabilises.

Disruption is replaced with direction.

Resistance is replaced with responsibility.

Testimonials from our valued partners and collaborators

Harris Academy Beckenham thoroughly enjoyed the creative composition and music production session delivered. Pupils got the chance to learn how music production is used in the world of work and discover current record producers. Pupils also had the opportunity to create a track and compose lyrics that could potentially be used in a live production setting.

The Music Klub has worked in partnership with Croydon Council’s Youth Engagement Team on countless events and projects, including a three-day music workshop during the summer holidays where they worked with 18 young people and created powerful songs around mental health and crime within the borough. The staff work extremely well with young people and adapt their workshops to meet individual learning needs. It is always a pleasure working with The Music Klub.

Leadership Rooted in Industry Excellence & Educational Impact

Hello, my name is Richie Aikins.

I am the proud founder of The Music Klub Enrichment Centre.

For over two decades, I have worked at the highest level of the UK and international music industry — collaborating with leading artists including Stormzy, Jess Glynne, Emeli Sandé and J Hus, and contributing to productions involving global artists such as Beyoncé, Trey Songz and Rihanna.

I have also produced music for major films including The Transporter, Adulthood and the FIFA World Cup.

But my greatest achievement is not industry recognition.

It is seeing young people who once felt disengaged discover confidence, discipline and purpose through structured creative development.

Over the past several years, I have focused on helping schools raise attainment, improve behaviour and re-engage pupils a risk of exclusion — contributing to stronger GCSE outcomes, improved attendance and increased pupil confidence.

The Music Klub was built on a simple belief:

Young people rise when they are given structure, respect and real skill development.

At our South London Enrichment Centre, we implement a structured Alternative Provision model that combines high-level music expertise with behaviour support and educational accountability.

Because talent without structure does not change outcomes.

But talent developed within a system does.
